The Story of Three Geese in Flight Books.
We have an open bookshop that also sells CDs and Celtic jewelry opened year round that specializes in Celtic studies. As well as offering
classes and lecture series on the historical King Arthur and Celtic Bardic culture, we are dedicated to extending the knowledge of the
Megalithic and Celtic influence in European civilization and its place in the Atlantic sea province and its extension into North America.
It is not mere bragging when we say we were the first Celtic and Arthurian
book store in the United States, for it has taken a lot of determination to have
survived all of the commercial pressures a small independent business is faced
with over the past 29 years. Our shop
is non-sectarian and Pan-Celtic. We sell Irish, Scottish, Welsh, Cornish, Breton and Megalithic History, folklore, mythology, and poetry.
We also specialize in books on the historic King Arthur, and the 'Dark Age' time - period during which this Celtic chieftain would have
lived, as well as the 'Welsh' literature and Medieval Continental Romance that told his story.
When we opened our store the connection between King Arthur and Celtic Studies was unheard of. Today, however, with the broadening of
Celtic studies, this link is firmly established. We hope we have and will continue to be a help in stirring the cauldron of understanding.
For just as the Greco-Roman Classical culture is the more well known, outer Solar aspect of our European heritage, the gentle Neolithic and
heroic Celtic culture is the inner 'Lunar' aspect of our Atlantic European heritage.
And as the well known 'Fairy faith' is an expression of that culture, our shop shares that interest and it's expression in the Mythical
works of J.R.R. Tolkien and others who have contributed to the modern mythic literature of the Celts, the Norse and Saxons, as well as the
many well known, lesser known, and rare novels on the Arthurian legend.
Lastly we share in the North American expression of the Celtic culture. Both in the so called 'Diffusion' literature of pre-Columbus
exploration, and in the native expression of that 'Fairy faith' with its tribal Clan Longhouse culture of the eastern seaboard Algonquin
and Iroquois people. We see the Atlantic sea province not as an ocean that
divides, but as a lake that we share.
We even carry in our shop the Colonial expression of this culture inherent in the pre-18th Century Atlantic battles culminating in the
Revolutionary war. An ongoing discussion page that will deal with these subjects will be a regular aspect of our web site. We hope to meet
you either on the page or in person. Either way, we hope you enjoy looking through our books.
Just click on a special area of interest, or search our
entire collection by title, author, keyword, or by clicking on " general
search ". We are proud to be offering over 5,000 rare, antiquarian Celtic, Arthurian,
and Native American and colonel Books.
