This edition includes his 1740 'Preface To The Second Welsh Edition Evans speaks as an older man twenty four years on from the First Edition. Also 'Note by the Translator' and a little 'Notice Of The Author' Evans gives the 'pro' Welsh view on the historical Arthur. He was aware of Prince Madoc even before the French and Indian war began and the Francis Lewis incident at Fort Otswego.Theophilus Evans was clever even in English translation and his attack on Saxon and subsequent English learning is masterful.
